My fashion PR internship at House Of was an amazing way to learn the ropes of the industry. I spent a lot of time researching trends, media outlets, and crafting pitches to get the word out about our clients. From writing copy for pitches to assisting with events, I saw how PR efforts translate into real-world experiences. Beyond these tasks, the internship gave me invaluable industry knowledge, communication skills, and networking opportunities. It was a perfect introduction to the fast-paced world of fashion PR.

A big part of my role was clipping and placements. This means I monitored media coverage of our clients, from magazine articles to online mentions. I'd clip any positive press and track where our clients were being featured. This helped measure the effectiveness of our PR efforts and show the impact we were making for the brands.
PLACEMENTS
Crafting compelling messages was a key part of my fashion PR internship. I honed my writing skills by developing pitches, which are essentially proposals sent to journalists and editors to generate interest in our clients. This involved researching relevant publications, understanding their target audience, and tailoring the message to resonate with them. I'd write clear and concise copy, highlighting the brand's story, new collections, or upcoming events.
